Sidelined is built privacy-first. Most functionality operates on your device.
On-device first. Your recovery data — streaks, relapse logs, panic sessions, journal reflections, and app-blocking selections — is stored on your device, not on our servers.
Your account. If you create an account, we store your email and name so you can secure and restore your progress. You can permanently delete your account and erase your data anytime in Settings → Account → Delete Account.
What stays private. Your relapse logs and journal entries are private to you. They are never shown in the community, never sold, and your real name and email are never shown to other users.
Your community identity. In the community you appear only as an anonymous handle. Other members cannot see your name, email, or recovery data. You can block or report any member.
App blocking. App selections use Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls). The apps you choose are represented by opaque tokens — even Sidelined cannot read which specific apps you picked, and your blocking settings stay on your device.
Diagnostics & no tracking. Sidelined contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party ad or analytics trackers. We may receive anonymous, aggregated crash and performance reports through Apple to fix bugs and improve reliability. We don't build an advertising profile of you.
Subscriptions. Subscriptions are purchased and managed by Apple. We may verify your subscription status using Apple purchase receipts.
